![]() The collection contains many buildings from the original Ivor Wood set, including the village of Greendale and the school. Thanks to the kind support of Dreamworks, NBC Universal and the acclaimed Altrincham-based animation studio, Mackinnon & Saunders – three of the major companies behind the creation and development of Pat, Jess, Mrs Goggins and all of Greendale’s much loved inhabitants over the years. The sets and props have now entered the Cosgrove Hall Films Archive, to preserve and share the assets for future generations. The show was curated by Rosy Whittemore, kindly supported by Clinton Pilkington, Jess Wheeler and Jonathan Garvey. Anna ‘animated’ and posed all the original characters on the set, using original props from the series. She worked with the team of Postman Pat and after a small chat about the show informed him that Postman Pat was not be going full CGI in the coming future and they were doing their best to have the stop motion animation remain a big part of the show's production.In 2021, to mark 40 years since Postman Pat aired on national television, some of the original sets and props from the Postman Pat television series went on display in the Lauriston gallery at Waterside.įor the install of the exhibition, Welcome to Greendale (November 2021 - January 2022) we were joined by Anna Pearson, animator and one of the many animators who worked on Postman Pat. Thomas & Friends and Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go writer Michael White, or known on social media and the Sodor Island Forums as WhitehouseFilms, met the producer of CBeebies, Sarah Legg in 2016. ![]() The scenes of Pat and Jess were animated by Cosgrove Hall Films with Ken Barrie voicing Pat and Melissa Sinden voicing Jess. Pat would leave his post bag at the Post Office for the presenters to show the letters and pictures to the viewers before continuing on with his rounds. Goggins was away, and Pat and Jess would collect the letters and pictures from The Greendale Rocket and take them to the Post Office. Two of the CBeebies presenters would look after the Post Office while Mrs. Children from across the UK would send letters and art of Postman Pat to CBeebies.
